@BenLaurie @ofnumbers Sadly, PoW rewards electricity burning: the more random hashes generated in search of leading zero bits, the greater the rewards, and the more CO2 emitted. In return, net gets basic random leader election and Sybil protection. Nobody will fess up until it stops making them money.
